Everyone knows Primeape from Gen 1 of Pokémon. Well, Annihilape is his brand-new evolution in the Paldea region in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It also comes with a new way to evolve it. In this how to get Annihilape guide we will show you how this new method works and how to do it.
Naturally to get Primeape you need to get Mankey first and evolve it. Fortunately, Mankey is a pretty common Pokémon, and you can find him in regions like a South Province aka Area Four west of Cortondo, you can also find them in South Province aka Area Five and West Province aka Area One. After capturing Mankey all you need to do is level him up to 28 and he will evolve into a Primeape. Alternatively, you can try getting a Primeape straight away in regions like West Province aka Area One and Area Three, near Medali.
How do you evolve Primeape?
Like we mentioned before the way to evolve Primeape is different now. Firstly, he needs to learn the move ‘Rage Fist’ he automatically learns it at level 35 in case you’re above that level and he doesn’t know it just go to the menu and make him remember it. The next step is to use Rage Fist 20 times keep in mind this move only has 10pp so make sure to stop up on healing potions. After doing all this your Primeape will evolve into a Annihilape.
What does Annihilape bring to the table?
Primeape is a fighting type Pokémon but when you evolve Primeape you grant him the ghost type too making Rage Fist an even more powerful move due to its STAB boost. The starting power is 50 but it increases by 50 every time he’s hit during a fight. Because of its new type Annihilape can alleviate threats from Psychic types while also developing a weakness to dark types. He also gets a slight attack and defense boost but nothing substantial. Annihilape is a great Pokémon just from his Rage Fist move so he’s going to be a great addition to your team.
