Several players are already completing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and are looking for new challenges. 6-Star Tera Raids are the ultimate challenge after finishing the main story! How does it work?
Before jumping in a 6-Star Raid it’s important to know certain things. The Pokémon you encounter in these types of raids are stronger than you ever fought before. They will be level 90 and their HP will be multiplied by 25. This basically means that imagining a random normal level 90 Pokémon that has 244 HP. In a 6-Star raid they will have 6100HP! However, the Pokémon you capture in these battles will be level 75 and have almost perfect stats.
How Can You Unlock 6-Star Raids?
For starters you will need to have finished the main story this includes collecting 18 Badges and completing the Area Zero plotline. If this applies to you then you can move on to the next steps. We would advise doing them by order since some of them depend on other steps.
- Step 1 – Rematch and win all 8 Gym Leaders.
- Step 2 – Complete Academy Ace tournament.
- Step 3 – Win 15 5-Star Raids.
You will need to successfully beat four trainers during the Academy Ace tournament you will then receive a call from the Professor talking about a high-level Tera Raid. This will increase the number of 5-star raids you will be able to find. Regarding step 3 you can do the raids online or alone. Its up to your personal preference. You can keep track of the number of raids you’ve won by catching all the Pokémon from the 5-star raids and have a specific box for them.
After doing all this you should receive a call from Mr. Jacq warning you about how dangerous they are, and a new 6-star raid will pop up in your map under a black sparkling icon and a black crystal marking its location. A new 6-Star raid will be available every day. You can also join a friends raid through a link code. This whole process will obviously take a long time to complete.
So how do you unlock 5-Star raids?
You might have noticed Tera Raid Crystals dotted around the Paldea region. These are 1,2,3 and 4 Star Raids. Just like 6-Star Raids 5-Star Raids will only become available after completing the game. Now some of these crystals will have a 5-Star rating. These raids are also incredibly hard, and you will need strong Pokémon to beat them. If you’re successful you will be rewarded with Herba Mystica.
How to Get more 6-Star Raids?
Like we said before you get one 6-Star Raid a day. If you wish to find more, you will have to play online. You can refresh the Tera Raid Battles available every 30 seconds in the Poke Portal.
Tips for a successful raid
6-Star Tera Raids are one of the hardest battles you will encounter in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and you shouldn’t take them on your own. Ask your friends for help or make sure of the games online matchmaking to find players willing to help you out. If you’re brave enough to go through with the raid and you finish on top, you will be rewards with Herbs Mystica items that are used in the best sandwich recipes. Which is great if you’re on the Shiny Pokémon hunt! You will also be rewarded with EXP Candy, Rare Candy, Tera Shards, Feathers, Mints, sellable items, Bottle Caps, and crafting materials. And you will also have the chance of capturing Tera Pokémon.
