Everyone knows that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 share a lot of the same weapons as well as progression systems, battle passes and a whole lot of other things. Most weapons in Warzone 2 can be unlocked by playing either normal multiplayer or warzone. However, this isn’t the case for the M13B, this gun is locked behind a warzone exclusive challenge or by purchasing a store bundle. This new gun is trending due to its high fire rate as well as low recoil. Two of the most important stats on a weapon.
So how do you unlock this weapon?
To unlock the M13B you will need defeat the Chemist in the radiation zone of DMZ and extract his dropped weapon. We would advise doing this with a squad since the radiation zones are filled with enemies and defeating the chemist can prove to be quite difficult to do on your own.
Follow these steps:
- Step 1 – Go into DMZ mode and land in a place of your choice.
- Step 2 – Open map and look for a yellow circle with a nuclear symbol.
- Step 3 – Go to this location and look for The Chemist.
- Step 4 – Kill The Chemist and pick up the M13B.
- Step 5 – Extract.
Before heading to the circle, you should loot up on weapons and ammo. You will also need a gas mask to survive the radiation zone. You will probably land far from the circle so try finding a vehicle to get there.
Once you’re inside the radiation zone The Chemist is usually found near large groups of enemies thus a recon drone can be a great asset here. When you find him a gas mask symbol will pop up on the map and he will be a large enemy with a yellow hazmat suit on.
Keep in mind only the player that picks up the weapon will unlock the weapon and if you die before extraction you will lose the weapon and have to do it all over again.
How to kill The Chemist
To successfully kill The Chemist, you need to be mindful of a few aspects such as that he will attack and run away while simultaneously spawning enemies as he goes. Make sure he never leaves your sight and try taking him down before he can spawn more enemies. The gas mask doesn’t last forever so either bring several or defeat him as fast as you can.
If you decide to try and defeat The Chemist solo style the only possible way you will achieve this is by bringing a vehicle with you and running him over. This is quite hard to do but if you manage to hit him will actually kill him in one hit.
Is there other ways of unlocking the M13B?
There is! You only have to extract the M13B you don’t actually need to kill the chemist. If you have a friend that owns the gun just jump into a DMZ match, ask him to drop it for you and extract it. This can be done by any player with the M13B.
If you don’t know anyone who’s unlocked the weapon yet, you can always hunt down players that have it. Jump into a DMZ match find someone carrying the M13B, kill them, loot the packs, and extract the weapon. It’s that simple!
