Mega City is one of the most exciting points of interest in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, filled with hidden treasures and exciting challenges. One of the most sought-after challenges is unlocking the vault, which requires players to solve a series of puzzles and navigate through multiple obstacles. In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide on how to unlock the vault at Mega City and reveal the treasures that await inside.
How to Get the Vault Key Card
The Highcard non-playable character (NPC) can be found at one of three distinct locations: Brutal Bastion, Mega City, or Shattered Slabs. Using a rift, the character appears on the game map along with two henchman NPCs. Defeating Highcard allows players to acquire the Highcard’s Havoc Suppressed Rifle and a keycard that grants access to the vault.
To use the vault keycard, players must equip it from their inventory. The keycard provides directions to the vault located in the same area where the Highcard NPC was defeated. For example, if players eliminate Highcard at Mega City, they can then access the vault located in that specific point of interest (POI). Similarly, eliminating the NPC at Brutal Bastion or Shattered Slabs enables players to gain access to the corresponding vaults at those POIs.
How to Unlock the Vault at Mega City
Here is a step-by-step guide how to unlock the vault at Mega City:
- Mega City POI is a new location in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, situated on the southeastern side of the map. It is characterized by several towering buildings that add verticality to the area, as well as grind rails that connect the different sections.
- The vault, which contains valuable loot, is located on the northeastern side of the Mega City POI, underneath a bridge. The exact location of the vault can be found by checking the yellow circle on the map image.
- Once you have acquired the keycard required to access the vault, you need to visit it. Use the staircase shown in the image above to descend to the bottom floor. The entrance to the vault is located just underneath the staircase.
- Before entering the vault, we recommend eliminating any enemies in the area, as they can easily ambush you later on.
- Inside the vault, you’ll find several Epic chests, Slurp Barrels, Gold Bars, and high-tier weapons. One of the mythic weapons you can find inside the vault is the Havoc Pump Shotgun, which is considered to be one of the best guns to use in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Additionally, you can also find the Legendary Slurp Juice inside these vaults.
- To enter the vaults in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, you must first defeat the Highcard NPC to acquire the keycard necessary for access.
