How to Find ODM Gear – Fortnite

Fortnite has introduced a new item to its game that has players excited and eager to try it out – the ODM Gear. How to Find ODM Gear

• ODM Gear in Fortnite can be found in the following ways:

1. Ground loot – ODM Gear can be found anywhere on the map as ground loot. It may be hidden up high, down low, inside buildings, or outside. You may stumble across it accidentally while exploring the map. However, some places where it’s frequently found include Anvil Square, The Citadel, and Frenzy Fields.
2. Treasure chests – ODM Gear can also be found by opening treasure chests located throughout the map. Not all treasure chests will have ODM Gear, so it’s mostly a game of chance. It’s still worth opening chests since they may contain other valuable items and gold.
3. Scout Regiment Footlockers – You are almost guaranteed to find ODM Gear in Scout Regiment Footlockers. These loot boxes are Attack on Titan themed and are hidden throughout the map.

How to Use ODM Gear

• The ODM Gear functions as a grapple, allowing you to aim where you want to go, fire the gear, and be pulled towards your target.
• To swing with the ODM Gear:

1. Equip the gear as you would a normal weapon and look at the left side of your screen for two control/command prompts.
2. Use the “Grapple” prompt and look for a circle on your screen. If there’s an “X” in the middle, you can’t use the gear there. If the circle is whole, you can use the gear.
3. Press the prompted control/command to pull yourself towards your target, then hold the control/command and use the directional stick to swing around.
4. To launch off the swing, use your jump command as you’re being pulled.

• You can also attack with the ODM Gear:

1. Equip the gear and look for the “Hover/Attack” prompt on the left side of your screen.
2. Use the indicated control command and aim at your target.
3. Release the control/command to attack your target.

• The ODM Gear has limited usability:

1. Check the weapon inventory in the bottom right corner of your screen to see the gear’s stamina bar.
2. The bar will decrease each time you use the gear, and once it wears down to nothing, the gear will break and disappear from your inventory.
3. The gear will also need to cooldown between uses, which is indicated by a symbol on the gear’s image in your inventory.

• While using the ODM Gear, you can swing around your target, launch yourself into a glide, and attack enemies. It’s a great way to move quickly and gain an advantage in combat.
