How to Get Magic Archer
- Start the Quest: Begin by locating Gautstafr on the dirt road just south of Windwalker’s Home on Agamen Volcanic Island. Speak to Gautstafr to initiate the “Put a Spring in Thy Step” side quest. You’ll find him near the westmost campsite, circled on the map provided.
- Gather Wildflowers: Gautstafr requests three wildflowers to alleviate his back pain. You can find these flowers along the dirt road or around Windwalker’s Home. Collect any three and deliver them to Gautstafr.
- Escort Gautstafr: Once you’ve delivered the wildflowers, Gautstafr invites you to Windwalker’s Home. Follow him east from the campsite, then north toward the northern shoreline. Carry Gautstafr if his back gives out.
- Meet Cliodhna: Upon reaching Windwalker’s Home, you’ll meet Cliodhna, the Magick Archer Maister. However, she won’t immediately grant you the vocation.
- Escort to Geyser Hamlet: Offer to escort Gautstafr to Geyser Hamlet inside the Volcanic Island Camp to the east. Ensure the road is clear of enemies, especially the Hobgoblins, Bandits, and Minotaur marked on the map.
- Return to Main Road: Head east along the dirt road back to the main road, circled in blue on the map. Deal with any remaining threats cautiously.
- Enter Volcanic Island Camp: Enter the camp and head north toward the ballista. Take the second dirt ramp uphill toward the large stone tunnel.
- Reach Geyser Hamlet: Climb the ladder at the tunnel entrance, then cross the wooden bridge to reach Geyser Hamlet.
- Speak with Cliodhna: If Gautstafr survives the journey, Cliodhna will unlock the Magick Archer vocation for you and reward you with the Spellbow’s Paradox tome, teaching you Martyr’s Bolt.
