Good news for every Pokémon Sword and Shield fan! While the game is nearly three years old, its vast Wild Area receives batches of updates on a regular basis, and we are here to learn how to catch a Shiny Marill in Pokémon Sword & Shield!
The update of the moment is a Max Raid with the chance of catching a Marill, one of the most beloved Pokémon of all time, in its pretty Shiny version! While you have the chance to encounter other Pokémon in this event, the most sought-after is Shiny Marill.
The event will be running from July 1 to July 10, 2022. In this event, you will have a higher chance of encountering a Poliwag, Marill and Spheal, but only Marill has a 2% chance of being Shiny if the raid is rated five stars. This is important to note, as the Shiny version of Marill will only be available on the five star raids.
If you are not seeing the new Pokémon from this limited event, please make sure to:
- Connect your Nintendo Switch and game to the internet
- Select “Mystery Gift” in the X menu
- Select “Get the Wild Area News”
As soon as you have updated and connected your game to the internet, see which red beaming raids are shining in your Wild Area and good luck catching your green Marill!
