One Piece Odyssey like any JRPG is filled with side stories that reward the player with a variety of the best items in game. With that being said, knowing how to start and how to complete these side stories can be quite difficult. In this how to complete the Talented Doctor side-story in One Piece Odyssey guide we will tell you all you need to know about this side quest.
In this quest for the Straw Hat pirate gang your goal is to help an old woman fixing her back pain by finding a doctor. Keep mind you won’t be able to start the quest until you complete chapter 2.
Where to Start the Quest?
You will need to travel to Alabasta to start the quest after completing chapter 2. When you get there head to Alubarna and head up the western path. Now look for an old woman sitting on a bench, interact with her and she will tell you her story. She has severe back pain and there’s a doctor who can help but she doesn’t know where to find him. However, she knows someone who was treated by him recently.
Where to find the Doctor?
The person who was recently treated by the doctor works as a guard in the city. To find him head south from the old lady, then east towards the double large gates. On the northern side of the northern gate look for someone with the blue conversation marker. Engage in a conversation with him. He will tell you the doctor was last seen at the tavern by the castle’s gates.
Go through the large gates and head to the tavern to your west. The tavern is marked on the map with a mug icon. Head inside and speak with a man with a blue marker. That man is the doctor, however he doesn’t have the ingredients for the pain medicine so you will need to get him two Gator Bananas. You may or may not already have this. If you don’t keep reading on where to find it.
Where to find Gator Bananas?
To find Gator Bananas go to the Desert Near Alubarna and travel to the Approach to Desert Byway point. Now look for an unripe Banana Gator. Defeat the enemy and collect the Banana Gator. To get the second one head north of the western end of the bridge and you should be able to see it.
There’s a chance you won’t get the Banana Gator as the reward for defeating the enemies, in case this happens to you head to a rest area then come back as the enemies should be respawned by now. And try your luck again.
Head back to the tavern and give the doctor the ingredients to make the medicine and he will give you the medicine ready to return to the old woman!
