How to Start Venomous Valor
Upon finishing the main quest “The Locket’s Secret,” players can unlock the “Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1” mission. Upon completing this mission, players can then speak with Duncan Hobbhouse, who is located on the first floor of the Defence Against the Dark Art Tower. Duncan will task players with finding proof in the Hidden Herbology Corridor to show to other students. To reach the corridor, players must follow the waypoint on their mini-map until they reach the Hogwarts Grounds. There, they will encounter a doorway blocked by branches that can be cleared by using the Incendio spell.
How to Complete Venomous Valour
Upon entering the Hidden Herbology Corridor, players will immediately notice the presence of Devil’s Snare, which are vines that can slow them down and cause damage if they stand in it. To clear the path, players need to cast Lumos to make the vines retract. After that, players need to jump over a wooden beam and avoid the path ahead for the time being, instead taking the stairs on the right.
There is a chest that’s also surrounded by Devil’s Snare, and players can free it by casting Incendio on the braziers. Once players jump across and open the chest, they can obtain some gear. After that, players can return downstairs and continue following the path to the west. They need to shoot the wooden objects blocking the path and light up the braziers surrounding the small pool of water to remove more vines. Then, they can open another chest to obtain more gear.
Players can then return to the other side and head through the doorway to the south, where they’ll find a Giant Venomous Tentacula Leaf. Interacting with it and climbing up the nearby ladder will lead players to the Greenhouse. Finally, players can return to Duncan Hobbhouse to complete the quest.
