Hey Moth kids, today I will be talking about this great game that is Sky Children of the Light! If you haven’t heard of if yet, I have one question for you, what have you been doing? The game is for free, yes, free on App Store, Google Play and also for Nintendo Switch.
Besides, Sky was made by thatgamecompany, the same developers of “Journey”, a classic and wonderful game from 2012 that is still loved and adored by fans until today! So you can have an idea on how good it is!
Sky Children of the Light take a similar take on Journey, but with even more places to explore, more options on customable items, and of course, an even larger community to play with. There, you are able to make friends from all around the world and even talk to them. Yes, now you can also chat, without having to honk at people!
The game itself is pretty simple, self-explanatory and relaxing to play… That apart from two specific scenarios: The Golden Wasteland and The Eye of Eden, being this last one the most difficult phase to go through.
So, that is what I will be helping you with, on how to enter the Eye of Eden Realm. That’s the last game’s phase, so of course, there will be spoilers ahead! So, without any more distractions, let’s start!
Requirements to enter the Eye of Eden
Let’s start with the beginning. Just like Sky’s other realms, the Eye of Eden only unlocks after completing the last Realm before that. In this case, you will have to complete all Realms in order to explore the Eden.
Attention though, you have to sit through all main Spirits’ cutscenes to be able to do so. If it is your first time exploring the Valley of Triumph, for example, and you quit to Home before having the last Spirit’s cutscene, the game won’t count it as a completed realm, so careful with that.
The other requirement is to have at least 20 Winged Light. But, it is best to have even more than this, actually, to have as much as possible. The more Winged Lights, best rewarded you will be in the end.
These Winged Lights are the small light spirts that appear on specific parts of each Realm. There are plenty out there, so you’ll just have to explore to find them. They are used to upgrade your cape, for you to have more charges while flying. That’s why they are important, especially on a difficult level as Eden, and for other things too…
And the last tip, is not exactly a requirement, but it is a recommendation, is to have more people accompanying you while entering the Eden. Why? Well, because with more people, a harsh level can become much, much, easier. Especially since there are a lot of pure souls to help you out if needed. More experienced players know exactly where to go without much suffering.
Also, having someone by your side is pretty useful for recharging your cape much faster as well. So, if you’re stuck or afraid to cross the Eden (like me), just wait for someone to appear, grab their hand and never let go.
So, in a nutshell:
- Have completed all other Realms;
- Have at least 20 Winged Light. Having more is also recommended;
- Have more people accompanying you. It is recommended, but it’s not a requirement.
What do you gain by entering Eye of Eden?
Yeah, what do you gain entering on this hell hole if not headaches and heart attacks? Well, the rewards are quite rewarding!
- Earning Ascended Candles: they are another currency in the game, but a more difficult one to get. They are used to unlock previously inaccessible cosmetics or abilities.
- Unlocking Spirit Cosmetics: while White Candlesare used to buy both Expression upgrades and Blessings/Cosmetics from Spirit Shops at Home, the Ascended Candles can unlock more of them.
- Unlocking Friendship Cosmetics: just like regular spirits, your friends also have inaccessible cosmetics, emotes and actions that can be unlocked with Ascended Candles.
- Permanently having more Wing Buffs: when collected Ascended Candles, you can purchase Wing Buffs while still in Eden. These Wing Buffs increase your Cape Power just like the Winged Lights. However, they are permanent, so your cape charges get higher and higher each time you go through Eden.
Oops, Spoilers ahead
You may be wondering, how come permanent Wing Buffs? Well, well my friend, this is where the spoiler and the bad news come in…
When entering Eye of Eden, since it is a pretty difficult phase to beat, you may lose some Wing Lights to your enemies. But the worst part is, when completing this realm and ending the game, you will definitely lose all Wing Lights you have and, well, die.
Yep, you die in the end. B-but it’s okay, since you always reborn after finishing the game. The downside is, you will have to collect all your Wing Lights again of all realms in order to fly higher. Don’t worry, you won’t lose anything else, and you will be able to play the game as much as you’d like after all that, I promise.
But in the end, that’s why we gain permanent Wing Buffs, to start the game all over again with an advantage. However, you are only able to have all of them by accumulating those permanent buffs, and by collecting regular Wing Lights later.
And that’s it for our guide on how to enter the Eye of Eden on Sky Children of the Light!
The beginning can be quite intimidating, especially when you have no idea on what you are doing (just like me when I started it). So worry not, for I will help you more on how to complete the Eye of Eden later on part 2!
