Charcadet is a new Pokémon that you can catch in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It’s a fire type Pokémon that can be evolved with its evolution being exclusive to what version you’re playing. Evolving Charcadet isn’t as straightforward as most Pokémon, it’s not as simple as reaching a certain level. Instead, you will need to find a specific item and get it from an NPC.
Where Can you Find a Charcadet?
The first step into evolving a Charcadet is finding one first! He’s a very hard Pokémon to find although he’s found in several regions of Paldea. The earliest you can find him throughout the game is in the West Province aka Area One location just north of Cortondo. Simply follow the main path northwest from Cortondo and you will eventually see a black and red icon on your mini map indicating you’re close to a Charcadet.
How to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge
To evolve Charcadet into Armarouge you will need to collect 10 Bronzor Fragments then take them to the town of Zapapico and trade them for an item called ‘auspicious curio’. To do this follow the steps below:
- Step 1 – Collect 10 Bronzor Fragments;
- Step 2 – Take the Bronzor Fragments to a man wearing a pink shirt by a fountain in Zapapico;
- Step 3 – Receive the curio from him;
- Step 4 – Go to the ‘Others’ tab in your inventory;
- Step 5 – Use the Auspicious Armor on Charcadet.
Now Charcadet will evolve into Armarouge in Pokemon Scarlet!
Where can you find Bronzor Fragments?
You can collect Bronzer Fragments in several different ways. You will get two fragments for defeating a Bronzor and another two for catching them as well. You can find them in the Glaseado Mountain area of the map. So, all you must do is find and battle Bronzors to earn Bronzor Fragments.
