How to Get Abandoned Caravanserai Gear Chest
- Location of the Abandoned Caravanserai: The Abandoned Caravanserai is a ruined area located in the Wilderness West region of the map, to the west of the Abbasiyah region. On your fully zoomed-out map, it can be found southwest of the letter “G” in Baghdad. There isn’t much else around this location apart from the caravanserai.
- Finding the Gear Chest: The Gear Chest you’re seeking is situated on the bottom floor of the main building within the Abandoned Caravanserai.
- Dealing with Bandits: Upon arrival, you’ll encounter a group of bandits that have taken over the caravanserai. There are only three of them, but they block your entry.
- Eliminate the Bandits: You have a few options for dealing with the bandits. One effective strategy is to get onto the outer walls of the caravanserai, providing a good vantage point to spot all three bandits in the courtyard. Additionally, they are close to red explosive pots. You can use a Throwing Knife to detonate these pots and eliminate the bandits. Any survivors can be dealt with through assassination, or if you prefer, you can engage in direct combat.
- Breakable Wall Method: There are two ways to access the Gear Chest. The first method involves breaching a weak wall at the back of the building. Since there are no explosive jars nearby, you must carry one with you. On the northern side of the courtyard (where the bandits were located), there’s a shelf that you can move. Shift it to the other side of its initial position and grab an explosive pot nearby. Use parkour to climb onto the shelf, then to the tall wall separating the front and back. Look for a wooden beam extending from one side. Use these to reach the far end and then jump down to the structure with a dome on top, all while carrying the explosive pot. From here, jump to the ground and locate the weakened wall. Throw the explosive jar at it to break it open and access the Gear Chest.
- Opening the Door: The second method begins above the front door. Climb onto the awning over the door and observe an open window above. Go through the window, grab the resources from the chest here, and use your Eagle Vision to highlight the door’s locking mechanism below you. Take aim with a Throwing Knife at the door’s “lock” through the grating. If you hit it correctly, the door will open. Exit through the same window you entered, proceed through the door, and open the Gear Chest. Depending on your previous actions in Wilderness West/South, this chest will contain either the Hidden One Blade or its upgrade schematics.
