Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is filled with wonderful Pokémon and their evolutions. The methods in which you evolve certain Pokémon vary which can become quite confusing on how to get certain Pokémon. Finizen is a new water-type Pokémon that looks exactly like a dolphin. This how to get Palafin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet guide will tell you how to evolve Finizen into its hero form.
Where can you find Finizen?
The first step to evolving Finizen is to find one first! His main territory is the ocean of Paldea and the good news is that he can be found on any coastline in Paldea. Or, alternatively, you can use your Miraidon or Koraidon if they have the ability to swim yet and venture off into the sea. They will gain this ability after you beat your third titan. Finizen won’t run away as he is a very social Pokémon, and he should be easy to catch. Just make sure not to knock him out. Even if you do, these Pokémon travel in pods so there should be more than one.
How can you evolve Finizen into Palafin?
To evolve Finizen you will need friends to help you out. So just find someone to help you then follow the steps below.
- Step 1 – Head to a Pokémon Center and go to the yellow circle.
- Step 2 – Start or Join a Union Circle.
- Step 3 – Level up your Finizen up to level 38.
And that’s it! You have your own Palafin now! This is the only Pokémon that uses this method to evolve.
Palafin Forms
Palafin has two different form the Zero form and the Hero form. The first one is his normal state, but the Hero form increases his attack stats by at least double. To transform Palafin from Zero to Hero all you need to do is switch him out during battle. Just switch the active battling Pokémon or use the exclusive move Flip Turn. Now he will stay in Hero form until the end of the battle.
