How to Solve A Life’s Work
1. The First Page:
- The first page can be detected using Eagle Vision. However, only the first page will be visible with Eagle Vision, making it trickier to find the remaining two pages compared to regular collectibles like Lost Books and Gear Chests.
- Locate the first page on top of the building directly to the left of the bench where Al-Mahani is sitting.
- As you approach the first page, a gust of wind will blow it away.
- Pursue the page by using parkour to follow its path. It eventually comes to rest on the building on the northeast corner of the Observatory.
2. The Second Page:
- The second page is inside the Observatory, specifically in the room directly behind the bench where Al-Mahani is seated.
- You can’t simply enter the building as the door is blocked.
- To gain entry, go around to the back of the Observatory and move a bookshelf to the right.
- Stand on top of the bookshelf, then aim through the barred window. Throw a knife between the bars to release the door latch.
- Once the door is unlocked, go inside, and you’ll find the second page on a desk up the stairs.
3. The Third Page:
- The third page is located at the top of the tower.
- Simply scale the building as if you were going to synchronize with the viewpoint.
- You’ll discover the third page on a desk near the armillary.
By following these steps, you’ll successfully locate all three pages of Al-Mahani’s life’s work in the “A Life’s Work” quest.
4.”A Life’s Work” Dialogue Choice Outcome:
After finding the pages and returning to Al-Mahani, you’ll discover that the scholar has passed away. His son, who is referred to as “Al-Mahani’s Son,” will be present and wish to speak with you. In the ensuing conversation, you have two dialogue options:
- Choose “The treatise mattered most.”
- Choose “You mattered most.”
Your choice doesn’t have a significant impact on the game. Regardless of your selection, you’ll receive a skill point, and the “A Life’s Work” Tale of Baghdad will be successfully completed.
