Upon entering the treasury, you will notice four metal engravings of knights holding swords, and a locked gate with three symbols on the left-hand side.
To successfully solve the sword puzzle, you will need to unlock the gate by pulling cords and shooting symbols, before retrieving a bloodied sword located inside the gate. This sword must then be strategically placed within the mural of the metal knights to complete the puzzle.
How to Solve the Castle Sword Puzzle
To successfully solve the Castle Sword puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake, follow these step-by-step instructions:
- The first step is to open the gate with the three symbols to retrieve the bloodied sword. To do this, head to the gong nearby with the stag symbol on it and pull the cord to activate it. This will make the stag symbol on the gate glow.
- Next, you need to aim through the bars of the gate and shoot the eagle and snake gongs to light up the other symbols, thus opening the gate. Retrieve the bloodied sword from the statue inside the gate.
- After retrieving the bloodied sword, you’ll need to match different sword types to the four metal murals of the knights on either side of the locked door. It’s recommended that you grab all the swords already set into the murals before starting this step.
- From left to right, insert the swords in the following order to match the murals:
- Knight with sword between legs: Iron Sword
- Knight kneeling: Golden Sword
- Knight killing another knight: Bloodied Sword
- Knight’s gravestone: Rusted Sword
- Once all the blades are in their correct places, the gate will open, and you can progress with the story.
