It’s the worst feeling when you’re having fun in a game, and you’re faced with a puzzle that you just can’t wrap your head around. A lot of players are getting frustrated when trying to figure out how to solve the mine puzzle. During the quest to find Tyr in Svartalfheim you encounter three water puzzles. These puzzles vary in difficulty but don’t worry this guide covers all of them! This how to solve the mine puzzle in God of War: Ragnarok has all your answers!
How to Solve the 1st Puzzle
You shouldn’t have much of an issue solving the first puzzle. It will begin immediately once they ride the boat and crash near Sindri. To summarize all you need to do is redirect the water to turn a crank. This will allow you to cross an opening. Follow the steps below to achieve that.
- Step 1: Aim your Leviathan Axe at the part of the trench located right above the water wheel and throw it freezing the water.
- Step 2: Aim at the pile of rocks inside the furthest trench just to the right of the door and shoot it with Atreus’ arrow and they should break apart.
- Step 3: Retrieve your axe by pressing triangle and the water will start flowing through the trench completely.
- Step 4: Aim at the edge of the trench to freeze it pushing the water into the second trench moving the wheel.
How to Solve the 2nd Puzzle
The second puzzle is slightly harder than the first. The good news is that if you follow all the steps accordingly you shouldn’t have much of an issue getting through it. This puzzle will require you to freeze multiple parts of the trench and turn several cranks using your Blades of Chaos. So let’s get started.
- Step 1: Aim at the left part of the trench where the water is spilling out of and throw your axe. This should freeze the water and push it onto the left water wheel.
- Step 2: Turn right and jump down to the lower platform.
- Step 3: Climb up the chain and go to the next platform
- Step 4: Place yourself at the edge of the platform and use your Blades of Chaos to pull the lever.
- Step 5: Go back down and swing to the elevator.
- Step 6: Retrieve your axe and throw it at the edge of the trench directly to the right of the elevator. This should lower the elevator so go inside, retrieve your axe, and ride the elevator up.
How to Solve the 3rd Puzzle
The third puzzle is by far the trickiest, most complicated and with the most steps out of the three. Luckily for you we made a simple step-by-step guide, and you’ll surely have no problem following it!
- Step 1: Look down in the pit just after the chain, aim and shoot the rocks covering the rope using Atreus’ arrow.
- Step 2: Use the chain to pull the rope and glide across.
- Step 3: Turn left, jump over to the next platform and push Atreus up to the platform above where he should see a crank.
- Step 4: Aim your axe at the trench that’s closest to Atreus and throw it at the point after the wheel behind it. The wheel should begin moving and a mine cart should be brought over to the other trench.
- Step 5: Ask Atreus to use the crank and wait for the ore to unload creating a dam that blocks water from going down the drench.
- Step 6: Retrieve your axe and place yourself at the edge of the platform that overlook the mine card and second trench.
- Step 7: Aim and throw your axe above the stationary wheel next to the second trench.
- Step 8: Ask Atreus to shoot the ore. This should move the mine cart over to the door.
