There are two Nornir Chests in the Forbidden Sands area of Alfheim in God of War: Ragnarök these chests can be hard to find and require a special way to open them. Nornir Chest #1
To find the first chest we would advise finishing the Song of the Sands favour first since there’s a sandstorm and your visibility will be compromised until you complete it. You can find the chest behind a moveable pillar in a small alcove to the southwest of the region.
To open the chest you will have to ignite three torches. The first one is in the enclosed area with the chest while the second one is on a stone pillar opposite to the pillar that you moved before to access the area with the chest. The third torch to the right of the second torch up on a large rock shelf.
The first one can be ignited using the Blade of Chaos. The seconds one needs a combination of the Blade with the Sigil Arrows.
The third one is a bit trickier. You will need to use your Sigil Arrows to reach it. You can do this by firing three Sigil Arrows at the same spot this will increase the blast radius of the arrows.
Now you can return to the chest and claim your reward!
Nornir Chest #2
You can find the second Nornir Chest in the north-eastern part of the area. When you get there destroy the debris in the lower wall of the library, the destroyable part is beneath a grapple point.
Once you follow the path and reach the chest use your Leviathan Axe to destroy all the Hive Matter. This can be done by throwing it at the pink Twilight Stone around the chest. Now look for the three torches you will need to light up.
The first torch will be on a cliff edge. Use your Sigil Arrows and create a trail towards the campfire just left of the torch. The second torch is to the right of the chamber use the same method as the first one to ignite it.
For the third torch look above the campfire and throw a Sonic Arrow to reveal the location of the third torch. Now quickly switch to Sigil Arrows and fire at the torch. Create a trail of arrow down the pillar then reopen the Hive Matter using a Sonic Arrow, then fire a Sigil Arrow at the second torch causing an explosion.
Now you can return to the chest and claim your reward!
