Hey there Tarnished fellows, are you willing to slain Malenia, one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring, just like the legend Let Me Solo Her? Well, unfortunately I can’t help you with that, for I am not them, but I can help you get their weapon of choice. Here is how to get the Rivers of Blood Katana.
This weapon is one of the strongest in game and one of the most used by players as well. It is capable of inflicting both Slash and Pierce attacks, it has an incredible bleeding damage, causing massive Blood loss (Hemorrhage), and, of course, it also has an unique special skill, Corpse Piler, unleashing a powerful flurry of blood attacks.
However, you are only able to get Rivers of Blood further in the game, after completing a lot of main quests. So, let’s see how to get it.
Location
The Rivers of Blood Katana can be found in the late-game snowier area of Mountaintops of the Giants. There, in the further north part of the map, you will find the Church of Repose.
Bosses aside, when you finally get there, you will be invaded by a samurai NPC, the Bloody Finger Okina, and guess what, he has the katana you want! So, the only thing you have to do is… Kill him! Easy right?
Yeah, not really, since he is wielding The Rivers of Blood that causes massive blood loss on you, so you got to be careful and dodge these several attacks as much as possible, otherwise, well, you know. Another thing you can do is prepare yourself before combat, by using items that protect you from bleeding damage.
Observation
Just an important head up, do NOT defeat the boss of the area yet. If you get to kill the Fire Giant first, the Invader NPC Bloody Finger Okina will NOT spawn ever again. After that, the only way to get the weapon back is by a second playthrough, or by starting a new gameplay all from the start. So let’s just not do that, ok?
Another thing is that this happens to every other Invader in the game, so always defeat them before encountering an area’s final boss.
Requirements
After defeating Bloody Finger Okina, congratulations! You finally get to have his powerful and so desired katana. And not only that, but you get to loot his cool mask as well.
However, there is one more thing you need to know. The Rivers of Blood need some requirements in order to be wielded:

| 20 | Arcane |
So, the playstyle you were going for in the beginning may change, but focusing in Dexterity and in Arcane can be pretty fun too!
