Hello there stray cats, how’s the town exploring? I hope it’s going well, because today I will help you on a mission of this great indie game Stray! More specifically, on how to get the Worker Jacket and the Worker Helmet!
After meeting Clementine in the game, you will have to help the NPC Blazer on their quest in order to proceed the game. But what do you have to do? Well, you’ll have to steal some things for them: the worker jacket and the worker helmet. Doing so, you two can invade the NECO Factory together and complete Clementine’s quest as well.
So, let’s see the steps on how to do it!
1. Taking the Worker Jacket
After talking to Blazer on a creepy alley, you will have to find a worker jacket and a worker helmet and bring it to him. Don’t worry, the alley shines with a blue light, being easy to find. Well, let’s start with how to take the jacket first:
Part1: Getting the Music Tape
- Go to the center of town. Just do it for better localization.
- From there, you’ll have to go to the plaza on the right. It is easy to know which one, since there is a big tree right in the middle of the place. Also, there are a lot of robots nearby as well.
- Talk to the NPC sitting on the tree’s bench. The guy with the white jacket on.
- They will ask you to destroy the cameras of the plaza. There are three in total.
- Climb the stairs and find them at the mezzanine. You can destroy the cameras by jumping over them. Two of them are directed to the first floor and one of them is directed to the mezzanine halls. Since the place is small, is pretty easy to find them.
- After destroying them, go talk to the NPC on the bench again. They will give you a music tape to help you out.
Part 2: Getting the Worker Jacket
- After taking the music tape, go to the clothes shop. It is located near where Blazer is and, well, there are clothes on display, so…
- Enter the shop and go to the small room in the back.
- There, you’ll find a radio. Just put the tape there and an annoying loud sound will distract the owner of the place.
- When they turn around to turn off the sound, quickly go to the display on the front and steal the worker jacket.
- Run away from there and you’re done!
2. Taking the Worker Helmet
Now that you have the jacket, the only item left is the worker helmet. No worries, it is still a simple task. The problem here is that you aren’t allowed to enter the hat’s shop by yourself. So, you’ll need some help:
- Again, for easy access, go to the center of the town.
- If you go directly to the hat’s shop, you’ll see an angry NPC waiting for their companion. Welp, guess what, their companion is in a bar.
- Find the bar near there. It has a bright red light coming from it, so it’s hard to miss.
- Enter, go to the back room, and you’ll see a sleeping robot there (How? I don’t know).
- All you have to do is climb up the shelf. There is a box full of bottles on it. Just do what a cat would do and push it to fall right into the poor NPC’s head.
- Doing that, they will awake and go to the hat’s shop to continue their work.
- The NPCs will discuss, while they are at it, quickly enter the box standing near them.
- The awaken robot will put the box, with you on it, inside the shop.
- When nobody is watching, quickly steal the worker helmet on display.
- Get out of there by entering the vent pipe and you’re done!
After taking those items, just go back to Blazer. Give them the items and you two will continue the main quest.
