How to Start The Hall of Herodiana Quest
Once players meet up with Sebastian in Feldcroft in Hogwarts Legacy, they can unlock “The Hall of Herodiana” side quest by speaking with a Ravenclaw student named Sophronia Franklin outside the Charms classroom. Sophronia will discuss Herodiana Byren, a witch known for her mastery of the Depulso spell, and ask players to solve a series of puzzles in a hidden chamber nearby.
How to Solve the First Puzzle
Here’s a step by step guide so solve the first puzzle:
- Step 1 – Use the Depulso spell to move two blocks and position them against the east wall.
- Step 2 – Climb up the blocks and exit the room
Upon initiating the Herodiana Halls side quest in Hogwarts Legacy, players should follow the quest marker and use Depulso to open the door to the Hall of Herodiana. Inside the hall, players will encounter unique blocks that can be moved by either Accio or Depulso spells. The first chamber involves moving these blocks toward the exit with Depulso and climbing the ledge to reach a chest containing the Herodiana’s Cape cosmetic item.
How to Solve the Second Puzzle
Here’s a step by step guide so solve the second puzzle:
- Step 1 – Use Accio to pull the two blocks on the right over to the left.
- Step 2 – Push the newly formed stack of three blocks back towards the exit of the chamber using Depulso.
- Step 3 – Use Accio again to pull the blocks back over to the right.
- Step 4 – Climb up the blocks and exit the chamber.
- Step 5 – Open the chest containing Herodiana’s Attire.
- Step 6 – Optional: Use the blocks to gain access to another small chest above the entrance to the second chamber, but note that doing so may be a waste of time due to the way that randomized chests work in Hogwarts Legacy.
The second puzzle is more difficult than the first, but still manageable. The solution involves moving a block with Depulso, using Accio to position it, and jumping to the completed row of blocks to exit the room. There’s an optional extra chest to be found before leaving. To access a treasure chest above the entrance, use Accio to move the block toward you, climb the blocks, and collect the treasure. Return to the exit by using Depulso to push the block back to the wall.
How to Solve the Third Puzzle
Here’s a step by step guide so solve the third puzzle:
- Step 1 – Use Accio to pull the blocks to the right.
- Step 2 – Use Depulso to push the blocks towards the spinning sphere.
- Step 3 – Use Accio to pull the movable blocks to the left side of the chamber.
- Step 4 – Use the blocks to climb over towards the far wall.
- Step 5 – Use a regular spell to hit the spinning sphere to reset the position of the movable blocks.
- Step 6 – Use Accio to pull the blocks towards the wall near the exit.
- Step 7 – Use Depulso to push the blocks to the wall on the right opposite to where the player is standing.
- Step 8 – Use Accio to pull the blocks to the right until they touch the block with the spinning sphere.
- Step 9 – Use Accio again to pull the blocks towards the player’s position.
- Step 10 – Use Depulso to push the blocks to the wall near the exit.
- Step 11 – Climb up the blocks to reach the final chest, which contains Herodiana’s Cap.
- Step 12 – Exit the chamber through the door in front of the player.
- Step 13 – Head back to Sophronia to turn in the quest.
- Step 14 – Choose to show her the outfit, keep it to yourself, or show it to her for a fee.
- Step 15 – Keep the three cosmetic items and receive 180 XP as a reward.
This is the most challenging puzzle yet and may leave you stuck for a while. However, there is a solution to get through it. Using Accio, move the single movable block towards the south wall. Push it towards the switch with Depulso. Cast Accio to bring it over to the north wall and activate the switch by jumping across. This will reset the block to its original position. Pull the block towards the east and west walls with Accio to create a complete bridge. Cross the bridge and claim your final reward.
